What we have done (for individual events consult the events page here).
Labs of Awareness volunteers provided over 1,000 hours of free counseling services to adults and teenagers seeking emotional crisis resolution support. Please get in touch with us if you want to become our volunteer.
Labs connected 36 people with similar interests and aspirations via project NAE.
Labs organizes community events, with Passover in the Desert being the highlight of our year. This week-long festival in Panoche Hills involves participants leading and participating in experiential workshops and exploring what freedom and awareness mean to them. Passover in the Desert is inspired by Jewish tradition and welcomes seekers of all religions as well as agnostics.
Up until the summer of 2024, Labs relied on the labor of unpaid volunteers to build community and provide services. This year, Labs of Awareness is offering paid summer internships for the first time. Interns will work on creating events and institutions that bring people together in meaningful and enjoyable ways. To apply, email support@labsofawareness.org your resume and a brief cover letter briefly describing your interests and history of community involvement. If you have ideas about a community event you would like to organize, please describe them in your application. The interns will work approximately 8 hours a week and be paid $19 to $22 an hour, depending on the experience.
