  • 2144 Shattuck Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

A group of 6-8 high schoolers will gather to watch lectures on Virology by Prof. Vincent Racaniello from Columbia University. The students will have an opportunity to learn fundamental topics in Biology and get familiarized with the new paradigm of virtual learning. The facilitator for this class has a masters degree in the Physiology of the Cell, and has experience of experimental work in various branches of Biology. She will introduce the students to the fundamentals of self learning and help them organize their work. Due to the experimental nature of the class it will be considered an internship. Participants will be able to receive recommendation letters based on their contributions to the class. The class will meet in the Wells Fargo building on Shattuck Ave, a 5 minute walk from Berkeley High School. The event is free and is made possible through contributions of our donors and volunteers.
